Its high time that we promote infrastructure sharing and use of solar energies. Thank you for writing on such a neglected but yet so important aspect of telecom. Thanks for ur comments. I'd like to know how more of you think, please comment. Wajhi ! I'd like to breifly elaborate here:- I think when u talk about logistics, its a big field in its own .For instace take the e.g. of trucks delivery fuel to 500 plus BTS sites in & around Karachi or any other city/region. The loaded trucks (like BTS sites) making trips to refuel sites' gennys consume fuel & finances. If we can even reduce the fuel by one-tenth, we are making a big impact here. In the worse scenarios like nowadays load-shedding its not a luxury but is an absolute essential items. I am now posting second edition to the topic Sal & Wajhi!
Thanks for ur comments.

Powering sites by wind is a good concept. Wind is always present, renewable and is being used all over. This will save energy and money for both comsumers and the company. it would surly help in controlling, but really is the carbon footprint this high due to telecom industry. its a good step but not one with a huge magnitude.
