Nokia fans rejoice, the new Nokia Smartphone N9 has been launched in Pakistan. At a local hotel on 13th December, Nokia organized a preview of the new N9 to technology enthusiasts from all across the country.
There have been several improvements in N9 compared to its predecessor, N8. First of all, there is no Home Key to take you back. Instead, you need to swipe from the edge of the screen to access home. The software design of N9 gives you the liberty of three home views that users access mostly: apps, notifications and social network. You can also easily switch between activities.
It has GPS, WLan, GPRS/EDGE, USB and NFC support and includes powerful 8 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss Optics, wide angle lens, Dual LED flash with Digital Shutter and 720p resolution HD video capturing capability. The phone comes with 16 GB and 64 GB storage with 1 GB RAM and the display screen is AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass. Talk time on 2G network is 11 hours and stand-by time up to 380 hours. You can enjoy playback of 720p video for 4.5 hours and 50 hours of music playback.
The N9 is available in black, magenta and cyan colors for both 16 GB and 64 GB version. Initial price for 16 GB version in Pakistan is Rs. 52,000.
