Racism has existed throughout history in one form or another; it has taken different shapes in different regions depending on the ideologies a society is based on. Racism has been one of the few elements which have withstood the evolution of human race; it still serves as embitter for societies irrespective of how materially civilized they are.

In some regions racism exist for the discrimination between the two natural genders, in some the skin color forms the criterion for secernment and in many the financial status distinguishes men.

In the early American colonies, the first laborers were European indentured servants. When African laborers were forcefully brought to Virginia in early 1619, race was defined by wealth and status and not by physical characteristics. But these criteria soon changed; and those with English ancestry came to be ranked on the top, and Africans and Indian Americans at the bottom.

In August 2006, 170 states signed the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.

Coming to Middle East; a region home for many different ethnicities.

Ending the current article on a note given by Professor Muhammad Anwar, of Warwick University's centre for research in ethnic relations:

“When people look at Muslim men they may think again about whether that person should be invited for interview."

If you have pleasant or disconcerting experiences that you want to share, go ahead in complete freedom.

I think it is more to say a special prejudice towards the Pakistanies in Middle east due to the other nationalities . It has been seen a very vicious and jalous attitude of the Indians at the top slot in the middle east towards Pakistanies. Racism is not as dominat as the prejudiced attitude of the Indians at all the levels of management in the middle east. Indians have occupied the top slots and affective posts in mkost of the companies in the middle east ans the arabs are least bothered about the HR voilations being acrried out . they are mostly interested in outsourcing their companies dept and extracting the out put in terms of money. So indians are very sharp in obtaining the key controls of the out sourced company assets and their treatment towards pakisnies is very rash and unhumanly.

Yasir, I assume that you are depicting this on your practical experience. I do not find it weird if Indians or any other national behaves awkwardly with denizens of a country whose global image is destroyed. Indians come as good substitutes to Pakistanis in a lot markets and it is their smartness which has got them there. Lastly, do not yammer if Indians do not hire Pakistanis in ME or anywhere else; perhaps Pakistani would do the same at such a spot. It's all justified.
