Telenor does employer branding in universities like IBA, CBM, SZABIST... but sadly i think enginerring universities need more focus by industrial companies.

I completed my 4 years program in computer science and information technology from NED University in 2008 and I did feel a similar issues however, to me it’s not always best to bring a solution to problems rather tackling them do help and so was done by our batch mates and specially Syed Masroor who planned, managed a mega competition to attract industries to the academia and proved how students can take the initiative to help the system get back on track.
On another note, the employer branding is not actually the best thing to bring to the academia rather getting involved in researches and bringing the industry problems to the universities would help synchronizing the industry needs and the individual development.

Yes students do feel the same issue, especially when it comes to selecting Final Year Projects (live) and when applying for internships at big companies. Faculty members need to play important part in this; the senior members the most like Dean etc.

@ Mahmood. I totally agree with Mahmood here. One point I would like to add is...in a dormant country like ours, we can not expect anyone- neither from the industry nor from academia- to rescue us. We all will need to design our own futures. However, steps like organizing annual project exhibitions do give a good view about the institution.
In the end, the fact is industries invested here for commercial purposes and they would wait to first get the ROIs to start anything for welfare.
